It's Herschel Savage alright, no other name, nothing. Savage, 59, appeared in nearly 1000 porn films in the 70s and 80s. Initially he wanted to be a movie star in mainstream films, but when he couldn't get a chance, he went to the adult industry. He quit in 1988 but came back to porn in 1997. Savage also established another successful career as a stand-up comedian in the reality TV series Family Business. To prove his original talent as a serious actor, he appeared on stage in 2006 in Neil Simon's famous play The Prisoner of 2nd Avenue, under the stage name Max Cohen. New Yorker Steve Kaufman, on the other hand, was a pop artist; painter, sculptor, filmmaker, stained glass artist, among other skills. He died in 2010 aged 52. Next time, mate, be careful when you identify a celebrity.
